One of my favorite things to do in the car is listen to talk radio. I would say it's one of my favorite things to do, period, but have you ever tried to listen to talk radio in a house full of boys? Trust me, it doesn't work. Anyway, a few years ago my hubby introduced me to Glenn Beck's show. At first he was "that guy who's on after Rush", but over the years I have come to really appreciate and enjoy his unique style and sense of humor.
For those of you with CNN (I'm not one of those "lucky" people), you might already be familiar with Glenn Beck. Or maybe you've caught his radio show once or twice. I just recently discovered the blogs on his website, one by Glenn and one by his Executive Producer "Stu" (whose real name is Steve). Absolutely hilarious.
In case you hadn't guessed, yes, I agree with a large majority of what Glenn says. I am ultra-ultra-conservative and make no bones about it. I recently read Glenn's book, "An Inconvenient Book," which covers everything from oil prices to video rentals with his usual wit and logic. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I might even buy a copy instead of getting it from the library next time.
If you've never checked out Glenn Beck's media empire, this election year is a great time to do so. Let's face it, any year when we've got two candidates like we've got is a year when we all need a good dose of humor!
