20 Years!

Twenty years ago, I made one of the best decisions I've ever made.  Happy Anniversary, my love!

Deadlines and anniversaries

This coming week has some important dates.

Our homeschool portfolios are due on June 30, but since we are going to be at Good News Camp the whole last week of June, I need to get them turned in by Friday.  This is always a big stress-out time for me because I don't want to forget anything.  Also, inevitably, Caleb has not finished all of the required writing for the year.  So we need to finish a paper he's been working on and write up a lab report as well.  Thankfully, I'm already finished with Isaac and Joshua's, and Noah is still too young to need one.

On Wednesday, hubby and I celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.  How it got to be 20 years already, I'll never be able to tell you.  What I can tell you is that every single day, I love this man I married more and more. He is planning to take me up to Hershey later today for some serious roller coaster time, without the boys.  Yep, he knows what I like!

Did anyone see the guy walking across Niagara Falls last night?  My stomach still hurts from all the anxiety.  I am so scared of heights, I can't even watch other people do stuff like that without my palms sweating.  Eek!

Fun with welding

Today's Fake Quote:
"A joke should always be in good taste." - C. Rock
Last night, Hubby was laying in bed reading something on his computer. I looked over his shoulder and saw the words "butt weld." Now, I spent the entire last semester of his college career helping him study. I know what a butt weld is. But for some reason it struck me funny.

"Butt weld?" I said. "That sounds painful." He ignored me. "And how do you go to the bathroom?" More blatant ignoring. I glanced at the screen again.

"Large and varied application? I guess it depends on the person," I snickered. He groaned. I rolled over to go to sleep. But I couldn't resist one last comment.

"Hey, do butt welds ever crack?"

Moving... or not.

I should have said yesterday that just because the London Eye has, in my opinion, completely marred the aesthetics of the city, that doesn't mean I won't go up in it the next time I'm in London. Of course I will! Just like I may think the name Chunnel is stupid, but that doesn't mean I won't use it. I just like remembering London the way it was, that's all.

And now for something completely different. There's been an offer of a job for Hubby in the Land of Snow and Cheese, aka Wisconsin. They really want him for either of two jobs there, actually. At this point, we're not interested in moving, but if they make a good enough offer (which, obviously, we need to define before he goes out there to interview), it might be worth considering. The plan right now is to play them against where he works now (same company, different location) and see what they'll offer him right here. Not moving would be good.

Then again, I had a look at the WI homeschool laws and it sounds SOOO much better than PA. That alone makes it kind of tempting!
