You know, usually the time change knocks me down and kicks me a few times. I wrote about it last year. I felt like I had jet lag or something. It took over a week for my internal clock to reset itself.
This year, I'm fine. I've been getting up at my normal time, and I haven't felt like it's still an hour earlier and I should be asleep. It's weird. I mean, I'm a night person. And I've been tired by 11 p.m. Which was 10 p.m. last week. Huh? I don't get it.
And to make things even more bizarre, the toddler, who can't even tell time, suddenly started waking up an hour earlier. He used to get up at 7:45. He still does. So how did he know the clocks changed?? And does this mean he'll be getting up at 6:45 when it changes back?
Well, that's probably fine. Apparently, I'll be in bed by 10 every night.
How about you? Is it hitting you hard this year?
I admit I love going to bed 'early' but even for me, an EARLY BIRD, I didn't get out of bed until 7:00 this morning. (I was up at 5:45 and did the little 'yeah I can go back to sleep!' thing, and then laid and procrastinated from 6:35 until 7:00 because I was so tired.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any problems adjusting this year either! How wierd is that??
ReplyDeleteHi, Jana...you rocked the Heroes quiz. I'm very impressed. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm actually pretty happy about this time change every year, because it's light! Yay! Pretty happy light! Yesterday was kind of rough waking up, but I'm mostly normal, today. :-) Fall back time change, on the other hand...whew...I hate that so much. It takes me a couple of weeks to normalize.
Yesterday was a bit rough, but I think it's because I was getting sick, again. Today, I'm officially sick, again. Yuck!
ReplyDeleteMeritt - I like being up early, I just never manage it because I go to bed so late!
ReplyDeleteJanaB - yeah, that's weird.
Jami - thanks! Solid proof I watch too much TV! That's odd - I usually don't have a problem with the fall back time.
Arlene - oh, no, sick again?!? Buy some Airborne, girl!
