Food, glorious food

I've been toying with the idea of starting a food blog. Hey, stop that hysterical laughter. I cook. I cook almost every meal, as a matter of fact. Sometimes my kids even like it. Here are my reasons for thinking about this:
  • It will keep me on track with my own eating. I do better if I plan out every meal.
  • It will be a good place to keep my favorite recipes and menus.
  • It will be easy to send people there when they ask about my diet.
  • It might help someone else who wants to eat healthy find some inspiration.
I would probably post menus and shopping lists the week before, and then recipes on the day I cook them. Anyone following along would only need to eat what I eat to lose weight.

So what do you think? Should I put the effort in? Or is this another crackpot idea from the same brain that brought you this blog?

  1. Jana, you're so funny! I'm sure a food blog would be fun...except I am wanting to take a break from all things food right now. I think the house rattles a bit just when I walk around the past few weeks...;)

I wanted to mention the American history post below...it just happens to be one of my favorite subjects, so we've covered quite a bit!
One of my favorite books is one by Christian Liberty, called Pioneers and Patriots. It's for about the 1st-4thrd grade level.
We started it in first grade where I'd read it out loud to her, and we'd go over the questions together.
What I like is that they put a fictitious child in a real piece of history, so the child can identify more.
    Good luck and have fun!

  2. Sounds yummy to me.

Heeeeey...then you'd have a ready post for my little carnival (and Recipe Round Up) I'm hosting in a few weeks. Cool.

    Chopchop...get to it! :)
