All boy

We have a nighttime tooth brushing routine around here that seems to work pretty well. First, the boys get Agent Cool Blue rinse, then they brush and floss, and then they get fluoride rinse. The oldest likes mint fluoride, while the seven year old prefers bubble gum. For a while, the four year old used the bubble gum. Then he decided he didn't like it, and switched to mint. I thought nothing of it until I found out the reason.

Apparently, as I was told last night, he stopped liking the bubble gum because it's pink. And pink is for girls. And he is not a girl.

  1. Oh he got that from SOMEWHERE, perhaps older sibling?
The twins are still at the stage where they don't care. They always ask me to paint their nails when I do mine. ugh

  2. How logical; the marketing people never thought of that.

  3. My son goes with me sometimes to get my nails done (he's 5, keep in mind) and tells me each time he wishes he could paint his nails too!! Kids are so funny!! I'd love for him to pick up on the "that's a girl thing"!!
Do you like the blue rinse? I was thinking about getting it!

  4. hee hee - too funny. I think older brothers have been influencing him!!!!

I can only buy Tom's of Maine Strawberry or grape, because my son's mouth is too sensitive for the other toothpastes ("they are too hot"

  5. What was you thinkin missy? Pink? OMG!

LOL. Once, I accidently purchased the girls night time pull-ups. I am sure that traumatic event will be replayed in his mind over and over.

  6. LOL! ... Our little one liked bubblegum flavor until recently, too. I think he just wanted to be grown up and use mint like the rest of us.

We just tried Agent Blue for the first time the other day. Pretty cool. Reminds me of those pills they used to let us chew at school when we'd learn about dental health :)

  7. My husband is all freaked out about pink, too, because it apparently makes the person wearing it weak! By magic! /end tongue in cheek Basically, he doesn't want to be seen as a "girl". I tell him European men don't care, and tease him that he would look great in "salmon" colored shirts, but he's not impressed. :-) He can't buy flowery-smelling hairspray, either.
