Ever watch "Little Shop of Horrors"? The big plant that eats everything is what that thing reminds me of.
Seriously, there are several varities of basil. Maybe another variety was mixed in with the seed packet? My suggestion, gingerly pull it out and plant in another pot. If it is a different variety, you don't want it to give the basil a mixed flavor. Like when people plant hot peppers and bell peppers together?
