Adventures in trick-or-treating

Thursday night we had trick-or-treating in our town. So at 6 p.m. we loaded up our boys in the van and drove to another neighborhood. See, we live on a pretty rural street and no one trick-or-treats here. It was a pretty chilly night, so there was a little complaining about that, but otherwise everyone had a lot of fun. The baby had to take every piece of candy back out of his bag and look at it. And my 7 year old, who had no costume ideas that morning, wowed everyone in his rapidly-homemade disguise. So without further ado, the pictures!

My 10 year old was an alien for, like, the fourth year in a row.

My four year old dressed up as a soccer player, complete with shin guards.

And here's the seven year old, as a red Lego brick! He just loved it.

  1. OMG!! I love ALL OF THEM!!! You did a great job MOM!!

  2. The Lego costume is awesome!

and Soccer kid - that is a great whip-it-together kind of costume.

Hey - 26 hours and counting to NANO - YIKES.

  3. I love the lego brick idea :-)

  4. Fun, fun, fun! I have to say, though, that the Lego costume is by far the coolest. I wish I had been that ingenious when I was growing up. Classic!

  5. How under the sun did you guys make that lego cotume? Whats it made out of?

  6. What a fun lego costume! Very cool costumes!
Have a very Happy and Safe Halloween!

  7. Love the Lego brick! I like ingenuity. My pictures are up, too.

  8. OMG....the Lego costume ROCKS. I just noticed those are plastic cups!!!! How creative...much better than some moms I know (whistles and looks around).

  9. A RED LEGO!!!!!!! OMW Your son is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cool!!!

But I love the alien one too. I mean, Aliens are classic. You just can't beat 'em!

Why did your town have their Halloween so stinkin early? And what did the baby go as? You should have dressed him as Jack-Jack from the Incredibles!!!
