I was teaching my Knights and Castles class yesterday and I was telling the kids about the pages, who would have been their age (7). They had to learn all sorts of things to prepare them for becoming knights. One of the things they learned was how to care for the hawks and falcons used for hunting.
"Now, what kind of animal do you think a falcon would hunt?" I asked.
Immediately, a little boy right in front of me leaped out his chair, positive he knew the answer. "Elephants!"
I hope I didn't insult him too much by literally doubling over laughing.
Heh heh heh - oh I love kids when they think they are so right, and yet so very wrong!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, how cute!!!
ReplyDeleteLAMO!!! Thanks for the smile, I needed that!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! lol
ReplyDeleteProbably not insulted but scarred emotionally for life!! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat was hilarious!
No but you might have turned him into the class clown lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the bday wishes and the identification of that Gilligan's Island girl.
Maybe there are a WHOLE LOT of falcons? Sort of like how coconuts migrate in Holy Grail?
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious!
