Something red:
This is the obligatory leftover Christmas ornament we found under the sofa sometime last March. It has been sitting in my living room waiting for the Christmas tree to be put up again so it can join its long lost siblings. You'll notice that Smoky has a much different fate in mind for it. This does not bode well for the Christmas tree...
Something green:
This is the new futon my parents gave me for Christmas. I decided on green to match the tile in the basement, where it's going to live. My parents will be testing it out for me next week when they come to stay for a few days. Isn't it pretty?
Something I decorate:
My piano usually goes all out for Christmas. As you can tell, I have not yet gotten any of the decorations out this year. Yes, I know, I'm slow. Anyway, I have a garland that I put up there and little bits of greenery and a nativity scene. It always looks fabulous. And it's really the only thing in the house I decorate, besides the tree.
So there you have it. Did you play?
Left over balls...sorta like leftover turkey, but not as stinky in the spring.
ReplyDeleteNice futon....I played!
LMAO at Milk Maid!
ReplyDeleteAs long as the kitty is happy....and not evil! Evil is bad! LOL.
Yes, you know I played!!!
I played.
ReplyDeleteI love the little kittypaw batting the ornament! It's funny, there are so many cute toys out there for cats, but what they really love is what's already laying around. (My cat spent the last 3 days playing with an empty cardboard box.)
Isn't it funny how if you find something festive or whatever, and the box is hard to get at, you just leave it out?? I totally do the same.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute red pic!
Nice SPF!
Man, I have not seen a futon in decades. Mine is with my waterbed!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
We always have a random item left over from each holiday. Actually I leave one item from each holiday out all year long! I just love all the holidays so when I look at it I can think about that time.
ReplyDeleteI played!
lmao at the kitty paw
ReplyDeleteOooh, I want a piano!
ReplyDeleteI played!
LOL - I love that kitty paw! :) The couch is a very pretty color. I wish I had a piano - but I don't even know how to play.
ReplyDeleteI love your piano! So beautiful!!! And the new futon looks great!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the kitty cat paw with the red ornament. Seriously, that's just too cool!
ReplyDeleteI really like the tile in your basement! And the futon does look good there. Hopefully it's comfy for your parents :-)
That kitty with the ornament is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteLurve the piano!
I love the ornament that Smokey has gotten a hold of! My cats are all over the ornaments too!
ReplyDeleteLove that the cat is about to play with that ornament! LOL Great SPF! I played too!
ReplyDeleteCool stuff. Maybe your decorated piano will be appropriate for next week's SPF... I'd love to see it. That picture of the cat paw with the ornament is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThat sneaky kitty! Such a sweet little paw.
ReplyDeleteIt took me three tries to get that pictures because the cat kept swatting it away!
ReplyDeletetoo funny! He is going to have a ball (or two or three) when you get your tree up! Love the futon color, very nice. I played too. Stacie
ReplyDeleteThe kitty paw is so cute! and only 3 tries? my Oscar would have had me going a whole lot longer.
ReplyDeleteI played, but then you have already left a nice Comment there. Thanks!
Hasn't this been a fun Stuff Portrait Day?!
I bet your kitty likes to bat the balls of the tree! My cats used to do that. One year we put a cat nip ball on the tree! They were going crazy! Love the green futon. That is a great color!
ReplyDeleteOuch, I can't believe you are letting the cat play with your balls.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's okay since it's an old ball ;)
LOL at Kristine!! I think the playful kitty is cute!!
ReplyDeleteI love the cat paw!!
ReplyDeleteWow, your site is so pretty! Just catching up on everyone's blog. Love your SPF!
ReplyDeleteVery nice piano. Purty purty purty.
ReplyDeleteI usually decorate the piano too! This year I moved it to a strange spot so my decor is on the entertainment center instead...oh, and on the bookcases and wherever else I can find a spot!
ReplyDeleteI loved the picture of the kitty and the ornament. Oh they are so predictable (but cute). Happy SPF a couple of days late.
ReplyDeleteMInus the fact that I am choking up missing my kitty, that is a really cute picture. I hope you get your piano decorated soon. We just finished last night. Well, I guess not. We only have 4 strands on our tree outside and it looks PATHETIC. It needs another 15 probably. It is so sad... :) anyway, great pictures. Have a nice xmas!!
