Woo hoo!

We have made the last payment on Caleb's ear tubes! He got them two years ago. There was a mix-up with our insurance and instead of having to pay about $300, our share ended up being almost $2,000! But we have finally paid it off! Now we still owe Joshua's dentist bill, a measly $2,500, toward which we pay $50 a month. Yes, it's going to be a while. And Joshua, the kid with the worst teeth I have ever seen, needs at least two more fillings this month. Sigh

Imagine what we could have done with all that money.
  • Hubby could get a new car
  • Or, we could go to Disney World
  • Or, we could all take a cruise
  • Or, we could get that hi-def TV we've been talking about
  • Or, we could pay someone to finish our bedroom
  • Or, I could have the world's most awesome DVD collection
  • Or, we could build a great playground for the kids

I could go on and on. But instead, we have ear tubes (one of which fell out six months after insertion) and lots of fillings (all in baby teeth which will fall out in the next couple of years). Money well spent. Or is it money: well, spent.

  1. Oh man, that stinks when you have to spend so much on things like that.

Love the play on words - I never realized that before.

  3. Oh, what a pain! I'm glad our insuance paid for Baby Boy's, his fell out of the really bad ear about 2 months after they were put in. So far, so good, he's gone all summer with out an ear infection (including falling headfirst into a kiddie pool with some NASTY water in it). We're doing OK with teeth here, although we have 2 thumbsuckers so braces are pretty much definitely in our future!
